Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also called Compassionate Communication was created by the American psychologist Marshall B. Rosenberg who recognized that the way in which people use language, often favors the escalation of violence. When people express their feelings within the NVC model, they are taking responsibility for the way they feel and do not rely on others to interpret, guess or imagine. Practicing this system will help eliminate negative emotions, resolve conflict with ease and lead to harmonious and peaceful connection.
The process is collaborative and will encourage you (and your team) to focus attention away from judging others and instead, discovering what other people feel and what is important to them. You can bring the other person in at some point and share the system. It becomes an exploration, like learning a secret language system.
The next step is to begin to understand your core personality type and strengths that arise from your internal and external world view is the Enneagram. It’s is a model of the human psyche that is used for personal development along with understanding who you are and how that affects all your relationships, including core partner, children, family, in your work life, along with organizations, teams, and corporate settings.
When you discover and explore your type, you have access to a deeper level of clarity on the habitual patterns that subconsciously drive and motivate you, your behavior, and your choices. This system also gives insight into your inherent strength and gifts.
It’s time to meet your Inner leader, your Inner wisdom, Leader Within, or your Inner Authority… whatever name you choose to call it, it is the powerful multidimensional aspect of yourself. We are here to consciously develop a relationship with that part of you.
Presence is the quality of being mindful and aware in the present moment. When you sit in presence, you bypass habitual behavior that is reactive and negative.
